From CBR: Abraham was born on the Old Homestead. He married Lizzie Dolby 16 Oct 1877 d/o Christian. Their 5 children are: William C b.9 May 1878 d.29 Dec 1890, Lottie M b.12 Nov 1881, Charles M b.16 Dec 1883, , Emma E b.2 Oct 1886 and Blanche J b.12 Apr 1892. He now manages the Baron Miller farm and is considered one of the best and most progressive farmers in the community.

Abram Mertz wrote his will 29 Oct 1917. He leaves his wife Elizabeth the income from his farm and woodland in E Buffalo Twp and then upon her death it passes to his children in equal shares. He instructs that his personal property be sold and the proceeds divided equally among his wife, children and one grandchild Boyd Abram Morrow. He states that his daughter Blanche J and son George M are then unmarried and still living at home. He also mentions daughter Mrs. Malcolm Campbell and son Charles. He also leaves his automobile which he values at $300 to Blanche J and George M. A witness to the will was Jonas Douty.
