I know from the recorded deed dividing the lands of Nathan Johnson in 1854 that he has a daughter married to William R (K?) Ward named Keziah and I am certain that the William R Ward with living in Southern Division, Duplin County I found in 1860 living with wife Keziah is said daughter. A son named Nathaniel G adds credence.

According to the Sampson County cemeteries book, William was a State Senator and Member of the House of Commons. He and Kezziah Jane and several of their children are buried at Oak Plains Baptist Church on Waycross Road.
