Lucinda Franklin was born 8 Dec 1849 in Shelby County, Missouri and died (I now know) in Sheridan County, WY in 1933. She married Hiram Cook 9 Dec 1869 in Marshalltown, Iowa.

Census Listings 1850-1900. I have found her with her parents in 1850 and 1860 then in 1870, 1880 and 1900 with her husband. In 1910, her husband, said to be a widower, lived alone. But then, in 1920, Hiram and Lucinda were reunited. Hiram died shortly after the 1920 Census.

Lucinda was still in Kansas in 1930 and then died in 1933 in Sheridan, Wyoming. Her grave is listed on find-a-grave and a copy of her published newspaper obituary is there. It mentions daughter Georgia Elliott. No question, it is her.

Her obituary points out she had just very recently moved to Sheridan. And it listed these “survivors”: two sons, Clyde Cook and Fred H. Cook, both of Springwillow, Wyo., and by four daughters, Mrs. Nellie White of Buffalo, Mrs. Georgia Elliott of Pamona, Calif.; Mrs. Lola Ralston of Boise City, Okla., and Mrs. Rachel Cowan of Meriden. Twenty-nine grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren also survive, together with a brother, George Franklin of Marshalltown, Iowa.
