My Comments notes for Thomas Sparks
This younger Thomas Sparks is said to have sold his land holdings in Anne Arundel County by 1756 and then moved to Baltimore County. The last citation in Baltimore County land records pertaining to Thomas Sparks was that he held a certificate dated 1760 for 38 acres in Baltimore County called “Hawk’s Nest Point.” A patent was not issued for some reason, so he was never actually granted the land. Thomas Sparks was still alive, though, in 1765 when he was named as Josiah’s only relative “in this province” when the latter’s estate was settled.
