Discrepant Facts notes for Anna Maria Reiffner
Christian’s wife is said by some to have been Margaret Bickhart. But that is just bad information. We know from Burgert that she was Anna Maria Reiffner. She came to America, presumably with Peter and Christian, and survived Christian.
My Comments notes for Anna Maria Reiffner
Also on the ship Two Brothers were Michael and Peter Reifner.
Children Names notes for Anna Maria Reiffner
The will of Christian Hollebush of Frederick Township, Philadelphia County was written 15 Mar 1777 and proved 26 Feb 1779. It mentioned wife Anna Mary and grandson Christian Bigheart, son of his eldest daughter Catherina and goes on to say ”and the residue of my estate I give and devise unto my four children named Catharina, Mary Elizabeth, Jacobina and Margaret in equal shares.” Executors were sons-in-law Conrad Bigheart and Paul Knieper.

Daughter Margaret married 2 Nov 1775 Paul Knieper, known from Christian's will as his son-in-law.
Relocated notes for Christian (Spouse 1)
IMMIGRANT. Christian arrived America in 1749 on the ship Two Brothers. He came with his brother.
My Comments notes for Christian (Spouse 1)
J L Floyd helped to propagate the “Mother Hallowbush” myth. He says this: “Christian Hallowbush was born in 1718 in the German Palatinate and came to America in 1724 with his brother Peter and his widowed mother. They landed at Philadelphia locating shortly thereafter in Salford Township, Montgomery County. Peter was born in 1709 and died in 1768, leaving 5 children: Catharine, John, Magdalena, Margaret and Ann Maria. Christian died in 1778, the father of 4 children: Magdalena, Henry, Adam and Peter.”

It is laughable how wrong this biography is. Christian born 1718 did come to America with his brother Peter born 1709 and they did locate in Montgomery County. He did die there in 1778 but his will named only daughters -- no sons; he had none. Floyd’s other assertions about this family are also just as wrong.
Children Names notes for Christian (Spouse 1)
From his will, we know that Christian had no sons that survived him and we know of none in any event. So it would seem that all persons named Hilbish (and variations) and/or Hollenbush (and variations) in the United States are descendants of Peter.
