Sarah’s husband Henry Hummel was the son of John Hummel and Susan Hilbish. Susan Hilbish, for sure, shares a common ancestor with us, her parents Peter Hilbish and Susanna Schell.

Sarah Lantz’s mother was Magdalena Mertz, daughter of Jacob and Magdalena (Miller) Mertz. Thus here is another family -- that of Henry and Sarah -- who have Mertz, Hummel and Hilbish blood and are my cousins in three different ways.
