Johann Stephen arrived America on the ship Rowand 29 Sep 1753 and settled first in Germantown, and associated there with his brother Anthony and then in about 1760 moved to an area of Berks County that would eventually become Schuylkill County.

He had two sons: Andrew born 1762 and John born 1763. Andrew disappeared from the records but John was still present in 1830 in Brunswick Twp, Schuylkill County, age 60-70 -- so he was not the extra John Kleckner who appeared in Union County.
