Fannie Lawther, daughter of Mary G (Harrison) Ford marries Walter Ford, son of Martha Jane (Harrision) Ford. They have a daughter in 1870 they name Hattie Heywood Ford. She marries William Rufus Cato in 1895. The Catos have two daughters. Mabel Frances Cato born in 1897 marries B Flournoy Tillar and Hattie Maddux Cato born in 1901 marries Beverly Hunter Barrow. Mary remembers these two women as ”cousins• and we have tried to follow their lives somewhat too. One very interesting thing is that when we went looking for the graves of Hattie Maddux and Beverly Hunter Barrow, we did not find them in Dinwiddie County where Hunter was Judge for many years but rather in Blanford Cemetery in Petersburg in a plot that is just across a narrow lane from the graves of Walter and Fannie Ford and Theophilus and Mary G Lawther.
