There is a Polly Stroub buried at Globe Mills Cemetery in Snyder County linked on find-a-grave to John Stroub as her husband and Robert Straub as their son. The ages of all three are totally consistent with Census listings for this family and several Ancestry trees state that this indeed is Polly Mertz daughter of Henry. It all seems to make sense.
