J L Floyd says this about David. "David P Martz s/o David, b.16 Apr 1840 in Ralpho Twp enlisted in Co F, 50th PA Regiment and served through the Civil War engaged in 29 battles and was discharged 5 Aug 1865, having been wounded 4 times. He then began farming at Paxinos.
On 12 Dec 1869 he married Rebecca C Repley d/o John and Rachel Repley who d.6 Oct 1900 and is buried in Ralpho Twp. Their children were: John W lives in Norfolk, VA, Grace m.William C Bower has children Lois and Leona, Nora m.Wilson Willow lives in Ralpho Twp with two children Ellen and Alfred, Ruth m.Harrison Erdman lives in Shamokin with dau. Mildred.”
