Birth, Parent-Proof, Designation notes for John Aurand (Spouse 1)
Jacob named son John A in his will, the A stands for Aurand, the maiden name of Jacob’s wife.

He lived his life in or near Lewisburg. John Aurand is designated P5c1.

He was Treasurer of Union County from 1861 to 1863. Later, he was a Justice of the Peace in Union County.
Relocated and Census Tracking notes for John Aurand (Spouse 1)
John is found in Census in Lewisburg in 1850, 1860 and 1870.
Death and Find-a-Grave notes for John Aurand (Spouse 1)
John A died intestate 14 Nov 1879. In December, Reuben F Brown, John S Schnook and Philip Frederick were appointed administrators of his estate. You might think they were sons-in-law but according to either the 1870 or 1880 Census, Reuben was married to Minerva (1848), John was married to Sarah (1845) and Philip was married to Angleine (1839) -- the women are the right ages to be daughters of John but the names do not work with what we know of John’s daughters from Census listings. His wife was named Catherine at the time of his death, though it had always been Mary in Census.

John and Mary are on find-a-grave.
