1860. Leonard 32 and wife Mary 31 live with her father Wiliam in Shamokin Township with children William J 8, Charles F 6, Joseph H 4, Jacob M 2 and John 1 month.
1870. I cannot find this family. I think they may be in or near Peoria, IL.
1880. Leonard Wagner 53 born PA lives in Iowa with wife Leah 33 and John 20, Samuel 9, Francis 6 and Roas B 2.
I think we can conclude that Leonard married Leah about or perhaps just after 1870. Mary, I know, died in 1864.

Parent-Proof notes for Mary (Spouse 1)
Meiser’s Martz/Mertz and J L Floyd say that William and Elizabeth had a daughter Sarah who married Leonard Wagner and removed to Illinois. I think her name was Mary, Floyd had it wrong and Mesier copied from that source. The wife of Leonard Wagner was Mary in the 1860 Census, including when William lived with them and I found record of their marriage on newspaper.com..
