1850. Susannah Hummel, age 59, is head of household in Washington Twp and living with her are Catherine Moyer 39 and her chldren Amelia, Nathaniel and Catherine.

1820. There are 3 Jacobs in Penns in 1820, all age 26-45. There should be an older Jacob in Penns, too, but he is not there. Is this man the third younger one or is the old one there with a typo on age? If one of those three is this John Jacob, why is he in Penns? The rest of his family is in Middlecreek and the man supposed to be this John Jacob appears next in Freeburg in 1830.

Jacob’s will was written 11 Apr 1846 proved 1 Aug 1846. Wife Susanna. Dau Catherine -- her children are Nathaniel, Malea (?) and Catherine Moyer. This is clearly the Jacob buried at St Peters, who Meiser says was George Adam’s son. There was nothing in his will file at UCCH to prove or disprove that assertion.

Meiser says this man, with these dates, buried in this place, with wife Susanna is John Jacob, son of George Adam.
