Parent-Proof notes for Jacob Ulp
An 1837 deed in which Conrad and Elsie Ulp transfer their “life estate” in Lot #172 in Northumberland to Thomas Bonham states that Jacob Ulp, son of Conrad, had died seized of this town lot subject to said life estate. It does not say when he died.
My Comments notes for Jacob Ulp
I can construct several scenarios about Jacob’s life. I believe I may have found Conrad Ulp in the 1800 Census (spelled Oulps and living in what is now Lycoming County -- so it may not be our Conrad) but indeed and he had a young son. That might have been Jacob.
He might have died not too long before the 1837 deed mentioning his name or he might have died before 1820 and perhaps left the Widow Ulp who we find in the 1820 Census, very young, with two very young sons. I do not know whatever happened to her or her sons.
