1860. George N Noyes, a merchant age 45 born in Maine, lives in Melrose, MA with Abby S 32 and Hattie A 19, George O 17, Sarah L 12, Albert F 9, Mary P 7 and Willie T 5. All the children were born in MA. (I only printed one page of this Census listing, the latter two children appear on the continuation page I didn’t print.) Abby, I assume, is George’s wife and I also assume not his first wife -- from her age. I would guess though she is the the mother of Albert - from the five year gap between the ages of the siblings.
