Census History notes for Jacob Fetter
Jacob appears in the 1800 and 1810 Census in Penns Township.
My Comments notes for Jacob Fetter
When Jacob died in 1815, estate authority was given to Philip and Adam Fetter. Then in Dec 1816, Union County Orphan’s Court records named seven children of Jacob: Adam over 21, Maria and Elizabeth over 14 (presumably under 21) and Susan, Joseph, Peggy and Jacob under 14.

I am working on the assumption that Philip, Adam and Jacob Fetter who were listed in the 1810 Census were brothers and that Philip named as administrator of Jacob’s estate was therefore his brother Philip. Whether it was Jacob’s brother Adam or his son Adam who was the other administrator I don’t know.

Jacob was named with wife Mariga as the parents of four children who they baptized at Ziegel’s Church in Weisenberg Township, Northampton County. Daniel 17 Jan 1789, Magdalena born 14 Sep 1791, Elisabeth Catherine 19 May 1792 and Judith 10 Dec 1794. And, though I believe this was the same Jacob who died in 1815, this a bit of a conundrum. Were these older children simply not named by the Orphan’s Court? Had they died? Was Adam born next after Judith, perhaps about the time the family moved to Kratzerville -- but why was he alone of the older children named? I have no real explanation.
