My Comments notes for Johannes Yerger
In his will, Peter named his brother John as one of his Executors, a role he fulfilled.
But it is not at all clear who John was. The records of New Hanover Lutheran list the death of John Yerger 7 Dec 1795 who, according to his age as given in that record, was born 5 May 1721. Since Veit was born in 1690, it would seem that a 31 year span between Veit and his youngest brother John is extreme, but maybe not impossible. But I think John (1721-1795) was not Peter’s brother for a different reason.
Earl Hoffman has convinced me that was likely a different John. It seems clear, also from the records of New Hanover Lutheran, that John George Yerger had a son John who was married to Sybilla and who in turn had two sons named John and George. The links between these three generations seem quit strong.
