Dennis had his DNA tested. He matches other Mertzes and Martzes who comprise what I call the Mertz Church group -- they include known descendants of John Henry Mertz, founder of Mertz Church end a couple of persons who clearly descend from someone who worshipped at Mertz Church but whose complete ancestry is not yet known.

Everyhting about his family back to John Henry is as given to me by Dennis. But when I tried to solve the puzzle of how John Henry ties into the Mertz Church Mertzes, I think I can make a strong case that Dennis descends from Jost -- a quite exciting find.
