There is a death certificate for Wm M Martz born 1853 died 1913 son of John Martz and Harriet Savidge.

William age 7 was present in John’s household in 1860 but did not live with his parents in 1870. There was a William of the right age living with Chas A Keefer.
William’s brother Albert married a daughter apparently of Samuel Keefer so the Keefer-Martz connection is interesting.
Joseph Meiser believed that John Martz, William’s father, was the son of Jacob Martz and wife Magdalena Malick. He wasn’t but in any event I think I have proven that she was Magdalena Keefer. If it was the other way, that Meiser though Keefer and I thought Malick, this connection between John’s family and the Keefers would give me pause.
