We know Samuel from Census where he was listed with his father David. He is designated P2a1c.

Samuel is on find-a-grave. I looked up his death certificate which confirms his date of birth and date of death and the name of his father. Curiously, it says both his parents were born in Germany. At least in the case of his father, that statement is 3 generations off.
