STUART, FL - Ethel R. Rinehart, 93, originally of York and formerly of Boca Raton, Fla., died Sunday, June 22, 2003 at Manor Care North Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late William Garman Rinehart.
Born in York County on June 28, 1909, she was a daughter of the late George E. and Rebecca (Rosenzweig) Walters. Mrs. Rinehart was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul (Zeigler's) Lutheran Church in Seven Valleys and Advent Lutheran Church in Boca Raton, Florida.
She leaves a son, William T. Rinehart of York; a daughter, Judene R. Walker of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Florence Senft of Loganville, Orpha Bailey of Dover, and Kathryn Newcomer of York.

William G. Rinehart, 70, of 511 Colonial Ave., a furniture retailer in York and Lancaster for 43 years, died at 9:15 p.m. Thursday in Colonial Manor Nursing Home. He was the husband of Ethel (Walters) Rinehart.
A native York Countian and son of the late William H. and Maggie (Garman) Rinehart, he was a member of the Lutheran congregation of St. Jacob's (Stone) Union Church.
He retired in 1978 as president of Shive's Furniture Co. Mr. Rinehart had become co-owner of the business in 1935 and sole owner in 1951. He also was co-owner of Heinitsh's Furniture Co., Lancaster.
Active in masonic circles, Mr. Rinehart was a member of White Rose Lodge 706, F and AM; York Forest 30, Tall Cedars of Lebanon; York County Shrine Club, Harrisburg Consistory and Zembo Temple.
He also was a member and past exalted ruler of York Elks Lodge 213 and belonged to Yankee Athletic Association, 13th Ward Political Club, York Area Chamber of Commerce and Grantley Fire Co.
Surviving also are a son, William T. Rinehart, 709 Colonial Ave.; a daughter, Mrs. Robert A. Walker, Grosse Pointe Park, Mich.; six grandchildren and five sisters, Kathryn M. Rinehart, York; Laura C. Kershner, Kettering, Ohio; Anna G. Bair, New Oxford; Marguerite M. Haven, Shrewsbury, and Janet R. Lewis, Lancaster.
