Research notes for Henry Adams (Adams 1, page 296)
Henry Adams came from England in 1634.
There is a granite monument to Henry Adams erected by his great-great-grandson President John Adams which says Henry came from Devonshire, England but that fact is disputed by John Quincy Adams who believes Henry came from Braintree, England.
His find-a-grave memorial, which says he was the son of John and Agnes (Stone) Adams, says he was born at Barton, St David, Somersetshire, England.
There is also a memorial for his wife on find-a-grave. It gives her name as Edith Rosamund (Squire) Adams Fussell — Squire being her maiden name and Adams and Fussell being the names of husbands.
