The Vinton book gives no dates for him but the Hollis family write-up in the New Hampshire genealogy book does. It says he was born in Weymouth, lived in Braintree until 1820 and then moved to Milton where he carried on the business of granite quarrying and cutting. He served in the War of 1812.
There is a Massachusetts Death Record for him confirming the date of death and indicating a birth in about 1773, son of Thomas and Lydia Hollis. So every source presents a consistent picture.

I found her death record in a database on Ancestry.com titled Massachusetts, Death Records, 1841-1915 which says she died 25 May 1855 in Milton, had been born about 1773, and was the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth A Hayden.
