Parent-Proof notes for Joyce Bonita Martz
Joyce, age 6, lived with her mother Margaret in the 1940 Census.

Ancestry has a document showing the 12 Aug 1960 arrival by Military Air Transport from Guam of Joyce B Zitzow (who was born 4 Mar 1934 in Connellsville, PA.)

Linda Gail Briggs adds that Joyce was Joyce Bonita Martz and that she married Frank Zitzow Jr.

With that information in hand I found both their find-a-grave memorials which included a wonderful obituary for Frank. There is no obituary for Joyce but from the photo of her tombstone she was “CT3 US Navy Korea”. CT3 may mean Communications Technician but I think more specifically it means Cryptological Technician.

Joyce was not linked to her parents on find-a-grave but I have submitted links to fix that.

His family will cherish their memories of him, continue to share stories of him through the coming years and mourn his loss every day."
