Birth, Parent-Proof, Designation notes for Abraham (Spouse 1)
Originally, this Abraham was a placeholder to bridge the gap between Abraham Sr. reported in Roaring Creek, Columbia County in the 1850 Census and who was buried in Numidia there and his grandson Cornelius who placed his tombstone.

I can find Cornelius starting in 1850 and he was born in the early-mid 1840’s and since Abraham age 20-29 in 1840 was the only other Martz reported in Roaring Creek or nearby in 1830 or 1850, I have guessed that he was the father of Cornelius. In 1840, Abraham had one young son.

So I was guessing that this Abraham was the son of the older Abraham, I was guessing that Cornelius was his son and I guessed that he must have died in the 1840’s.

And then it all came together when I was doing more research due to our coming to the conclusion that George Martz who died in Pottsville and who I never before knew much about — was the son of the older Abraham.

What I found was an 1846 deed whereby the Executors of Abraham of Roaring Creek sold a 71 acre tract as instructed by Abraham’s will. And indeed, I found has will. He died in 1845 leaving a wife Carolina and a son Cornelius. He called himself Abraham Jr. in his will.

He is designated P4c2.
