THIS IS TOTAL SPECULATION.
Reuben K Martz existed. He was reported in the 1850 Census in Washingtonville, Montour County, PA and there is a find-a-grave memorial for him. But who was he, i.e. who was his father?
I have not been able to find a shred of evidence to answer that question. But there are death certificates for to of his sons who, like Reuben, qualify for inclusion in the Mærtz Hierarchical Project by virtue of being born in America prior to 1850. So just to have a place to put Reuben and his two sons in my database, I am placing him as a son of Jacob Martz who lived not too far away in Catawissa, Columbia County.
