Patty Mertz sent me this 1850 census listing for Jonathan from which I have added birth years as indicated. Jonathan Kline 50 farmer, Mary 45, Jacob 23, David 21, Charles 19, Jonathan 16, Sarah Ann 14, William 10, Augustus 8, Mary Ann 4, James 4/12. Jonathan lives in Maxatawny Twp, Berks Co, a very nearby neighbor is the William Mertz family including son Reuben who will later marry Sarah Ann Klein.

In Patty's words "So while Sarah Anna Kline is descended genetically from those Adventurous Mertzes from Longswamp via Grandmother Christina, Sarah Ann lives among the Homebody Mertzes in Maxatawny."
