The only son I know of that John had is Charles who was listed in Census with him in 1850 and 1860. He is designated P6a3a.

From Census, Charles was born about 1835 so when I found a Charles Martz in Iowa in 1870 of the right age and who had been born in Pennsylvania, I guessed he was the son of John.
