Susanna is a definite carry-through from Northampton to Kratzerville. The marriage of Adam Vetter and Susanna Braus was documented in the records of the Lowhill Church (one of the churches served by Rev. Helfrich who married Adam’s brothers, too).

Then, when Benjamin Fetter, who was buried in Kratzerville, died in 1852, his death certificate said he was the son of Adam Fetter and Susanna and that he was born in Northampton County.

Adam Fetter was not our ancestor. But he is important to my story because:

• He lived in Kratzerville and seems to have been one of several brothers who came there by 1800 or so, and

• He came there from Northampton County and is but one of several persons tying the Fetter family of Kratzerville back to that place.

I found the will of Adam Fetter written 24 Nov 1836 proved 18 Jan 1839. There was no mention of Rachel, though in the estate file I did see that Frederick Walter owed him a small amount of money. He mentioned son Benjamin and son-in-law George Weaver.
