Parent-Proof notes for Benjamin Fetter
I found the death certificate of Benjamin Fetter among Union County Courthouse records. He was the son of Adam and Susanna. He was born in Northampton County 2 Jun 1794 and died 23 Nov 1852 in Union Township.
Benjamin’s birth/baptism in fact was recorded at Ziegel’s Church 13 Jul 1794 having been born 7 Jun 1794 son of Adam and Susanna. [The slight date discrepancy is meaningless.]
I believe our Rachel had a brother named Benjamin. I have really tried hard to make the case that (this) Benjamin might have been that brother. The problem is that Susanna and Adam married too late. I know I could posit that Adam had an earlier wife but why bother, there are better theories to work with.
But the Kratzerville locale they have in common strongly suggests a familial relationship.
Moreover, Benjamin’s presence in Kratzerville, having been born in Northampton County -- adds more credence to the version of events as stated by J L Floyd.
