Birth, Parent-Proof, Designation notes for Adam Martz (Y2b1a)
We know Adam as Owen’s son from his presence in his father’s household in 1850 to 1870. And his birth/baptism was recorded at Salem Lutheran Church in Lebanon County.
He is designated Y2b1-1.
Relocated and Census Tracking notes for Adam Martz (Y2b1a)
I have traced him from La Salle County, IL in 1880 to Sedalia, Colorado in 1900 (and thereafter). Besides his birth date, said to be exactly Dec 1849 in 1900, his occupation of butcher is a carry-through from Illinois to Colorado.
I don’t think he ever married.
Death and Find-a-Grave notes for Adam Martz (Y2b1a)
Adam is on find-a-grave, buried in Sedalia, Colorado. No birth date is given on his memorial nor any relationship links to any other person. Since I traced him to Sedalia through Census, I am certain it is him and this is confirmed by the fact that also buried in the same cemetery is William Henry Mertz who is linked to his parents and whose biography on his memorial says he is buried next to his brother, Adam.
