Parent-Proof notes for Aaron Martz
In 2015, Jacqueline Betzold wrote me that she was descended from John Owen Martz. “John Owen married Elizabeth Gross in Pennsylvania. They moved to Illinois between 1850-1860 according to the census logs. They had 8 children. His son Aaron Martz is my direct ascendent. He was married to Olive May Thomas on 10/19/1894 in Saint Paul, MN. They both lived in Saint Paul, MN for their entire adult life.
Their son Harold (Harry) Clayton Martz is my Great Grandfather. He served in WWI. He was married to Emma Kish. They had three daughters before Emma died in her 30's. He remarried, but I cannot find any information on that. My family had no knowledge of any of this personal information. All their children are now deceased. He may have had other children with his second wife, but at this time I do not have any specific information. He is buried in Florida.”
