James E. Mertz Jr., 46, of 226 Ochre St., Lehighton, died Sunday, Dec. 6, in Gnaden Huetten Hospital, Lehighton. He was the husband of Roxanne M. (Pastier) Mertz. They were married for 28 years last March.
He was a department manager for Wal-Mart, Lehighton, since its opening several years ago.
Born in Coaldale, he was a son of Gladys (Fronheiser) Everett of Weissport and the late James E. Mertz Sr.
He attended Dinkey Memorial Church, Ashfield.
