Parent-Proof notes for Norman Paul Mertz
There were several Norman Mertz in the 1920 and 1930 Census, two of them in Carbon County. But I’m certain the right one was the son of Edgar J and Elizabeth Mertz since:

1. He was named as Norman P Mertz, and
2. He was reported 7 years old, it should have been 8 but the other Norman was 15.
