Rebecca is an important person in helping sort out the too many Davids. She is mentioned in the wills of both David married to Barbara Miller as his granddaughter and of David who died a bachelor in Ohio as his niece. So clearly the latter David is the son of the former David.

John Adam Shissler and Rebecca Arter had four children living with them in 1850: Barbara b.1826, Louisa b.1834, George b.1836 and Abraham b.1839.
